Thank you. They don’t seem like enough, but those two words, those eight letters carry so much within them. They carry strength and pride. They carry tears and laughter.
I’m so grateful today for the servicemen and servicewomen. I’m thankful for heroes past, heroes present and heroes future. It’s because of the daily sacrifices of the men and women in the military and their families that we are able to continue to enjoy the freedom that we often take for granted.
The best of today belongs to all of the men and women serving now as well as their loved ones. They are the best of today.
