When I rolled over this morning to check the time, I thought it was going to be 7:15 or 7:30, so I was shocked to see 9:22 on the clock. I was so tired yesterday from Evan’s party, and the lullaby of rain on the roof outside my window this just kept my eyes closed. And it was wonderful.

I want to take a moment to give a huge shout out to each and every mother out there. I wouldn’t be anywhere without my mom, and she still helps me every day. I’m more grateful than words can ever explain.

The best of today was (finally) seeing The Avengers with my lovey at Studio Movie Grill. That place is awesome. My BFF is awesome. The movie was AWESOME. Maybe even better than awesome. I love a good hero movie, and this one did not disappoint. I can’t wait to see it again. Like ASAP.

Today was a wonderful, tiring day.

The best of today was celebrating Evan’s graduation. We had a party this evening for Evan, and it was such a blast. I love my family so much, and any family celebration is always the highlight of the week…or month Good food, great dessert and the best people I know. What could ever be better than that?

The best of today was dinner with my besties We went out to celebrate two birthdays, and it was the most perfect way to spend my Friday. Time with those girls is life-saving.

Today was a good day.  I love Thursdays, and today just continued to support that.

The best of today is that all of my grades are up-to-date, and I figured out how many grades I have left in both 9th and 10th grade.  I have a very clear picture of where we’re going, and my students should have a clear picture of exactly what they need to do.  I love this feeling of being “caught up.”  It doesn’t last very long because something new gets turned in that needs to be graded and posted, but it’s a great feeling while it lasts.

The best of today is that I’m in bed and getting ready to turn out the lights. Today wasn’t bad or anything like that, but I’m glad to be relaxed and ready for sleep. Also, the countdown is on: 12 more days of school!!

The best of today I that my baby bro graduated from college today!!

I couldn’t be a more proud big sister. There’s just something about watching a 22-year-old man walk across the stage and receive a diploma when just yesterday he was a 2-year-old cutie boy. I can’t believe that he’s a college grad. My brother. My best friend. My first partner in crime.

The best of today is that we went over practice End of Course Test questions during my freshmen classes, and I’m feeling a little less nervous about the EOCT than I was last week. Haha. We’ll basically repeat today on Wednesday when we go over the 40 questions they’ll complete tomorrow, and I’m hoping that they all improve. I can’t believe how close we are to the end of the year. It’s CRAZY that I’ve almost finished my first year as a teacher. And I’m still looking forward to many more to come!
